September 13 Chapter Meeting Features Conservation Program

The Brodhead Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold a unique conservation program during its meeting on September 13. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Kettle Creek Environmental Center in Bartonsville.

Speakers and topics for the event include:

ADAM SCHELLHAMMER: Monroe County Conservation District Manager will speak on the state of the district, including a presentation on how to document and report a violation to the Conservation District.

Roger Spotts, Environmental Education Coordinator for the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center, seen here during a 2015 presentation to the Chapter, will provide an update on the district’s conservation camp this year.

ROGER SPOTTS: Environmental Ed. Coordinator for Kettle Creek Environmental Center will provide an MCCD Summer Camp Update. Each year, the chapter sponsors two campers. We have invited the campers we sponsored to present on their experiences. 

UPDATES on the Chapter’s Pocono Creek and Cherry Creek stream habitat restoration projects, trash cleanups, and other projects.

Kettle Creek directions

(Exit 302 I-80West or 302B I-80 East)

* Make a left onto Route 611N

* Make a left onto Rim Rock Road at second traffic light

* Follow for 0.4 mile, bear right onto N. Easton-Belmont Pike

* Follow 0.2 mile, then bear right onto Running Valley Road

* MCCD/KCEEC will be 0.7 mile on left.
