Western Pocono Chapter of TU Features New Nymphing Techniques May 19

On Tuesday, May 19, the Western Pocono Chapter of Trout Unlimited (WPTU) will feature a presentation by Dr. Frank ” Doc” Plucinsky on New Nymphing Techniques and Strategies.

The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Environmental Education Center on Mauch Chunk Lake near Jim Thorpe.

A retired physician, Doc will show a new and fascinating nymphing technique he developed while fishing out west and has adapted for eastern waters. We can’t describe it here and we won’t. You’ll just have to join us in person to learn this amazing new and highly successful approach to nymphing for trout.

Doc Plucinsky has graciously provided programs for WPTU in the past and this one will prove to be every bit as informative as previous ones. Although he won’t admit it, he is considered by many of us as the Dean of fly fishermen on his home waters of the Tulpehocken and has fished extensively in Pa. and in western states. He’s also an accomplished naturalist/botanist and photographer. He will be commenting on some of these other fishing venues and nature subjects.
